Welcome to Terrapin River Loft!  This cool and relaxing get-away is located directly on the banks of the Guadalupe River, between Austin and San Antonio and surrounded by the gorgeous Texas Hill Country. Terrapin's owners Chris and Steve Summers, invite you to enjoy a relaxing and secluded retreat, awaken to the sounds birds and squirrels among 100-year old pecan and cypress trees, cool off in the crystal waters of the Guadalupe River, and watch the fireflies flicker over acres of riverbank at sunset.


 

A full-amenities guest apartment awaits you tucked amidst the pecan branches. This tree-top loft is 2 -1/2 stories above 1.5 acres of land in a quiet, residential setting and hosts a maximum of 5 non-smoking guests (ashtrays are provided for smoking on the balcony and deck).  It has a private entrance, covered parking, a large balcony overlooking the river, one queen bedroom, one full bath, fully equipped kitchen, living room with two convertible sleeper sofas (one queen and one loveseat).  In addition to their standard mattress, both these have plump feather beds so they're very comfortable.  Amenities include cable TV, CD, DVD & VCR players, and Wi-Fi.

 

        

 

The suite is air conditioned, has ceiling fans throughout.  Guest have access to 175 ft of private river frontage, including use of the river-side deck and paved landing.  The newly built loft is approximately five mile from Canyon Lake, ten miles from Gruene, and 14 miles from Schlitterbahn.

 

Continental Breakfast is included with your stay at Terrapin River loft.  We stock the refrigerator with coffee, tea, fresh fruit, muffins, and juices, to enjoy when you wish.  Afternoon snacks & refreshments are served on the house deck.

We can provide shuttle service for floating put-in / take-out spots along the river and to river-area ice houses, in case you don't want to drink & drive.

NIGHTLY LODGING RATES (see low season rates for dates prior to April 1):

  • Weekdays (Monday-Friday nights): $150, double occupancy

  • Weekends (Saturday-Sunday nights): $175, double occupancy

  • Holidays* (early arrival & late departure available): $190, double occupancy

  • 3rd, 4th, and 5th guests are $25 EACH, per night extra.

  • Tax: 10% State and Word Tax will be added to your lodging bill.

Please note that a 2-night minimum is required between May and August, except for holiday weekends, when a 3-night minimum is required. No pets please.

 

A $50/person refundable damage Deposit and the first night's lodging are required to hold any Reservation.  The Deposit will be returned within 10 business days after departure or return of the key; whichever is greater.  The Deposit refund may be adjusted to cover expenses for breakage, damage or additional cleaning as determined by the cleaning service.

 

Payment in advance is requested:

  • You may charge your credit card with PayPal, the online merchant service.  Please send an email from your PRIMARY EMAIL ADDRESS, to info@TerrapinRiverLoft.com and we'll reply with a PayPal money request to collect for lodging and the damage deposit.  When your payment is received, we'll send you a confirming email. 

  • Cash is good... Bank money orders can be mailed (we suggest USPS Priority mail w/delivery confirmation) up to 2 weeks in advance to:

LOW-SEASON AND EXTENDED STAY DISCOUNTS:

  • Weekly rate: $750/7 days, double occupancy (SAVE 30%!)

  • Weekly Extra Guests: $125/7 days, per person

  • Winter rates are discounted 25% off the Nightly rates above. 

  • Winter season is October through March

 

HOLIDAY DATES:

Holiday rates apply on the following nights:

  • Easter: April 6, 7, & 8

  • Memorial Day: May 25, 26, 27, & 28

  • Independence Day: July 4

  • Labor Day: August 31 & September 1, 2, & 3

  • Thanksgiving Day:  November 22, 23, 24, & 25

  • Christmas Day: December 22, 23, 24 & 25

CANCELLATION POLICY:

  • 100% of the Pre-paid Damage Deposits will be refunded, if cancelled. 

  • If canceling more than 60 days prior to your reserved date, 100%* of your lodging deposit will be returned in full. 

  • If canceling between 60 and 30 days prior to your reserved date, 50%* of your lodging deposit will be refunded. The other 50% will be retained on account with Terrapin River Loft.  You can reschedule to an available date within the same year, without losing the value of the retained deposit.

  • If canceling with less than 30 days prior to your reserved date, 50% of your lodging deposit will be forfeited.  The other 50%* will be retained on account with Terrapin River Loft.  You can reschedule to an available date within the same year, without losing the value of that portion of the deposit.

* Note that the 3% Paypal service fee is not refundable if payment is more than 60 days old.
